These terms govern your use of the MathNet mobile application (“the app”) and this website (“the site”). By using either, you agree to these terms.

License to use the app

MathNet grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, subject to Apple’s standard App Store terms of service.

What MathNet is

MathNet is a math practice app. It includes an optional reward system that fires a webhook to a URL you configure. MathNet does not deliver rewards itself. Any rewards delivered to your family are arranged and delivered entirely by you, through whatever automation you wire up.

The developer is not responsible for what your webhook URL does or for the consequences of any reward you have configured. If your webhook controls hardware (lights, locks, smart plugs, etc.), it’s your responsibility to ensure that hardware is safe and behaves as you intend.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. The developer makes no guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the proficiency / scoring system will produce any particular educational outcome.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer’s liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app (which, if you got it for free, is zero).

Children’s use

MathNet is intended for use by children under adult supervision. By installing the app and configuring it (including setting admin passwords and webhook URLs), the adult installing the app agrees that they are responsible for:

  • Configuring appropriate content and rewards for the child using the app
  • Supervising the child’s use
  • Ensuring the webhook URL (if configured) points to a service the adult controls

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be announced via the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
